Hagerstown Community College offering high school grads two free summer classes

Hagerstown Community College is offering two free classes this summer to 100 high school graduating seniors.

Eligible applicants must be 2020 high school or home-school graduates from Washington County, Franklin and Fulton counties in Pennsylvania, and Berkeley, Jefferson and Morgan counties in West Virginia.

The application deadline is May 15.

Students must pay for textbooks and college fees.

“We recognize all the sacrifices this year’s high school graduates have been forced to make, due to the pandemic,” HCC President Jim Klauber said in a news release. “This gift from the college is our way of helping to honor them, and celebrate their accomplishments.”
