Have you ever spread a blanket on the ground in your backyard and gazed up at the night stars? To more fully appreciate all the splendor the galaxy has to offer, check out the William Brish Planetarium, located at 820 Commonwealth Avenue. During the summer, select shows are offered free to the public. All programs are now fully digital full-dome presentations that immerse you in astronomy, earth science, biology and more as never before! On Tuesday, May 28th at 5:30 p.m. take your tots to see “One World, One Sky,” which follows Sesame Street's Big Bird and Elmo as they explore the night sky. Together, they take an imaginary trip from Sesame Street to the moon, where they discover how different it is from Earth. Adults can stay and enjoy “From Earth to the Universe,” which begins at 7p.m., You’ll experience a stunning, 30-minute voyage through time and space through an arresting combination of sights and sounds as the universe is revealed. Other summer program dates include June 25 and July 16 with the programs to be announced. Don’t miss these opportunities to see our galaxy from a different perspective.
