When you step into Schindel's Pharmacy, it’s like taking a step back in time. The area’s oldest pharmacy has been providing service that is good for the body and soul at their 642 Oak Hill Avenue location since 1923.  Park on the street right under their vintage Hershey Ice Cream sign and head inside to capture a glimpse of the halcyon days of yesteryear.  Have a seat at the counter on one of their chrome bar stools and order up a Chocolate Malt or a Root Beer Float or one of their many other ice cream specials. Check out some of their local history books on the metal spinner racks, or browse the wood paneled shelves for non-prescription items.  Chips? Candy?  They’ve got it. Need a prescription filled?  Their friendly staff will have you fixed up in a jiffy. In this fast paced, rat race world, it’s nice to have a place where you can slow down and just enjoy a little ice cream while you wait for your prescription. Stop by Schindel’s and you’ll see why they’ve been around for almost 100 years.
