If you want to get in on this growing phenomenon, you’ll want to check out The Maryland Poultry Swap & Farmer's Market on April 27th.  This giant farmer’s flea market brings together area farmers, hobbyists and poultry enthusiasts for one day only to sell their products, services and livestock.  Gates open at 8am and anyone can buy/sell blue naked necks, silkie pullets, buff frizzle satins or any other types of chicken with less glamorous names. You can also buy chicks, ducks, turkeys, gamebirds, exotics like peafowl, guineas, small livestock like pigs, lambs, mini donks for your little homestead.

Over 200 vendors will be on hand selling farm related, handcrafted, homemade and homegrown items, as well as freshly butchered cuts meat, local honey and produce.  You’ll find unique items like Goat’s Milk lotions and feed sack tote bags and aprons. Fresh dug ramps, started veggies, cut flowers, jams, jellies, cottage foods, used and new horse tack, lawn & garden supplies and tools will be plentiful.  Artisan crafted metal work, glass work, wood work, antiques, old rusty barn stuff, and upcycled furniture are also available for sale.
