What’s a Christkindl Markt? It’s a street market associated with the celebration of Christmas during the
four weeks of Advent and a German Christmas shopping tradition. Come celebrate Hagerstown’s
cultural heritage with a German shopping experience in the heart of downtown to kick off the holiday
season. Need a unique Christmas gift? Have someone on your list that’s hard to buy for? Love to shop
local and buy homemade? Christkindl market will run December 1 st from 11am to 5pm in University
Plaza and has nearly 50 vendors. Bring a big shopping bag and pick up some Eco-friendly Soy Candles for
your best friend, Elle Bands Hair Ties for your niece, and Personalized Christmas Ornaments for your co-
workers. For The Birds will be there with gifts for bird lovers, and don’t forget to pick up a few of Quinn’s
Bath Bombs for yourself as a treat for your long day of shopping. The event will feature live music, local
vendors with crafts, holiday gifts, artwork, wreaths, drinks and other treats. Bring the kids for special
kid’s activities and to meet Santa!  You don't have to go far for a GREAT experience!
